The Library at Mid Valley opened to great fanfare: the second Library outlet in less than a year, providing the popularity of the gastropub concept - a blend of great food, good drinks and a warm and welcoming pub atmosphere
A VENUE WITH LADIES IN MIND
The new Library has been designed with women in mind, and the ladies at the launch definitely seemed to approve of the special touches that have been introduced for their drinking, dining and relaxation pleasure.
Prior to the opening of the new Library, a survey was conducted with over 3000 woman taking part of their input has been used to create the ultimate female bar experience. one lucky winner walked away at the launch with a RM10,000 prize simply for letting the Library know what she wanted from her the Mid Valley outlet!
The survey respondents revealed that the favorite alcoholic beverage of the majority was vodka; the new Library boasts an extensive vodka-based cocktail menu and a choice of 96 different vodka blends, as well as a respectable selection of malt, whiskeys and spirits.
56% of respondents said, "We love the library as it is!". The second highest vote was for "a more cozy, lounge atmosphere". Taking all their requests into consideration, they kept the best aspects of the library, added new lounge-like elements and introduced many more activities and gastronomic adventures especially for the ladies.
More ladies-oriented activities will be run on a regular basis. You can expect to see fashion shows, make-over sessions and even special event tie-ups with your favorite fashion bands.
That isn't to say that other patrons haven't been forgotten; the beer brands such as Hoegaarden, Stella Artois and Carlsberg as well as the promotions that the Library is known for are available, as are the much loved Personal Beer Taps, all in tandem with the largest selection of vodka in Malaysia.

More than just a gastropub, The Library is place for patrons to chill out, relax and have fun. This was taken to the next level at the launch of the Library at Mid Valley with the announcement of the entertainment lined up for the ladies of the Klang Valley.
with a full schedule of fun activities, The Library is the place to be every night of the week. Every Tuesday is Barrel Challenge.
EXPENDED MENU NOW INCLUDES ASIAN CUISINE & MORE DESSERTS
Another survey suggestion that has been implemented is the introduction of an Asian element to the gastropub menu. More than just your typical "pub grub", the menu at the Library is full of delectable, delicious and authentic dishes, made to a high standard, with high quality ingredients. As well as the much loved staples from the original Library menu, in keeping with the survey suggestions the new Asian section will feature delights such as a Nasi Padang (a combo of gulai ikan talapia, rendang sapi, tumis sambal keropok ikan and nasi putih), a Sundanese Platter (medley of Sundanese dishes - ayam goreng bumbu, sambal udang and petai, tempe and tauhu goreng, lalapan and sambal ijo and nasi lewet), Thai menu staples (such as laksa), and many others.
